PM MITRA — Transforming India's Textile Sector
Uttar Pradesh – 5th largest textile exporter in India with USD 3.5 billion exports, contributing ~10% of India’s total textile exports in FY 2023-24.
- The scheme aims to create large scale integrated textile parks with world-class infrastructure having a minimum area of 1,000 acres.
- Scheme budget outlay of Rs. 4,445 Crore across all 7 PM MITRA Parks
- Development Capital Support up to Rs. 500 Crore per park to the master developer
- 3% grant on total sales turnover as incentive to units (up to Rs. 300 Cr. per park)
- Scheme targets 7 lakh direct and 14 lakh indirect employment across all parks
